Speaker Amanda Naaum

Dr. Amanda Naaum has over ten years of experience in molecular assay development for species identification in both academic and start-up industry settings. Amanda holds a Ph.D. from the University of Guelph. Dr. Naaum was awarded the IUFoST Young Scientist Award (2016), and a Commonwealth Rutherford Fellowship (2018) in recognition of her research and innovation achievements in point of need food species authenticity testing. She now extends this expertise to applications for food and animal safety and environmental monitoring at PBI.
